Masters of Counselling (Clinical Mental Health)

The Master of Counselling (Clinical Mental Health) program at Sunway University is designed to develop highly knowledgeable and skilled counseling professionals ready to address mental health issues in the community Graduates will be prepared to pursue professional certification as registered counselors with the Board of Counselors (Malaysia) – Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia By completing the required supervised practice hours and fulfilling the Board's requirements, they will acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for effective counseling

As the first private institution in Southeast Asia to offer this program, Sunway University delivers a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses a broad range of behavioral assessment and intervention techniques The program includes core areas such as developmental psychology, counseling theories, multicultural competence, career development, and group counseling It emphasizes the use of scientific, statistical, and digital methods while maintaining a strong commitment to ethical practices Additionally, students can choose electives like marital and family counseling, tele-mental health, and counseling entrepreneurship, which further enrich their educational experience

Entry Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by the HEP Senate
