Sunway University’s MSc in Applied Mathematics program prepares graduates with an innovative mindset, enabling them to apply mathematical tools and knowledge to develop practical solutions for a wide range of challenges in the physical and medical sciences, engineering, technology, finance, investment, business, commerce, and social sciences.

The School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS) features experienced professors, associate professors, and senior lecturers who teach all modules, supported by a dedicated team to assist students in their studies. Among the faculty is a professor recognized as a World Top 2% Scientist, who has a robust network of researchers globally, particularly in ASEAN and China. This professor has an outstanding track record in optimization and optimal control, leading the team in module delivery. Consequently, graduates of the MSc in Applied Mathematics gain a competitive edge over those from similar programs at other universities. Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields in mathematics, applied mathematics, engineering, computing, or actuarial science with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate
