Program overview

The Master in Sustainable Development Management (MSDM) at the Jeffrey Sachs Center is designed to cultivate a new generation of multidisciplinary practitioners skilled in management and problem-solving through analytics and systems thinking, with a focus on global challenges. This program aims to equip students with essential management abilities to devise innovative solutions that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The curriculum covers various topics, including corporate sustainability strategies, social entrepreneurship, finance and sustainability, sustainable management and operations, and economics and development. It draws on a comprehensive knowledge base that addresses critical areas such as climate change, waste management, energy systems, agriculture and food systems, forestry, and biodiversity.

Students will engage with both theoretical frameworks and practical applications, including real-world case studies, to develop a well-rounded understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved in achieving the SDGs across scientific, economic, business, and technological domains.

Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00

Entry requirements

Master's: a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Typically IELTS 6 or equivalent (TOEFL / PTE). Some universities offer a preparatory English program if you haven't reached the score yet.
