Program overview

Sunway’s Diploma in Nursing integrates both traditional and cutting-edge technological applications for those passionate about enhancing the well-being of others. Students in this program will study core medical and nursing subjects, including the anatomy and physiology of the human body, nursing care, and essential support topics such as communication and counseling.

The course is designed to help students develop skills in caring, nurturing, and counseling, while also fostering teamwork to provide holistic healthcare for all patients. This program ensures that Sunway University nursing graduates emerge as knowledgeable, competent, and compassionate professionals ready to assist those in need of healthcare.

Theory and practical assessments are conducted each semester throughout the three-year program. Graduates will receive certificates from Sunway University and the Nursing Board of Malaysia upon successfully passing the licensure examination.

Entry Requirements

SPM

  • Pass with a minimum 5 credits (including Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics)
  • Candidates with a credit in either one (1) of the following: Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science and credit in one (1) other relevant subject

Entry requirements

Diploma: high-school certificate or equivalent with suitable grades.

Typically IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (TOEFL / PTE). Some universities offer a preparatory English program if you haven't reached the score yet.
