Bachelor of Software Engineering (Hons)

Sunway University

Program overview

Software systems have become the foundation of modern businesses. These systems are often complex but must remain robust and adaptable. This program will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of user requirements needed to analyze, model, design, and develop large-scale software systems that are both reliable and resilient. Specialists in Software Engineering (SE) will be equipped to address the growing influence of large-scale software systems across various contexts, particularly in safety-critical and mission-critical applications.

With the technical knowledge gained, along with practical insights into architecture design, software development, software processes, project management, testing, and maintenance, you will be well-prepared to tackle industry challenges and develop innovative solutions. The three-month internship included in the program offers you the chance to apply theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios, preparing you for the workforce.

Additionally, this program includes the Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) professional certification, which integrates software testing components into the curriculum. The CTFL is a globally recognized certification accredited by the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB), representing industry interests in promoting Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and software testing as essential competencies for developing quality software products and services. This industry-linked certification will enhance your employability as a graduate.
