Master of Science (By Research)

The Master of Science (By Research) at UTeM University, Malaysia, is designed for candidates who wish to engage in directed research under the supervision of an academic staff member or a panel of supervisors. The program focuses on a specific subject, introducing candidates to the processes involved in developing and applying new knowledge.

The research topic is agreed upon by the candidate and their supervisor(s), ensuring alignment with academic goals. Candidates' progress is assessed through a Research Progress Report submitted at the end of each semester. The degree is awarded following an oral examination (viva-voce) of the thesis submitted upon completion of the research study.
